Day 2 Las Vegas. First of 2 full days in Las Vegas.

Breakfast at Sadelle’s Cafe. Janine had the Eggs Benedict, Excellent, I had bacon and eggs, pretty good, Coffee rubbish.

Spent some of the day exploring this magnificent hotel. The variety of high end shops is amazing. The displays of the Chinese Lunar New Year, spectacular.

As breakfast was late, 10:30, we decided on a late lunch just before our Neil Diamond show.

Went looking for a supermarket, and according to Google Maps it’s a 1.5km walk north. A good chance to check out the Strip. Let’s check out the CVS Pharmacy about halfway to our intended destination and it’s a Pharmacy that is also a supermarket. When we got back to our room and looked out the window there’s a CVS across the road.

We went across the road to the Horseshoe and Paris Hotel. Had some dinner at the world’s greatest Pizza place. We had pasta. Pretty good as was the price. Janine wanted to spend some money on the pokies and this time had a win. But because she won the jackpot and we’re Australian she had to pay 30% tax on the jackpot winnings.

Time to head to the Ahern Boutique Hotel to watch the Neil Diamond Tribute Show about 7 km north of our hotel . Got there only to find that the show hasn’t been there for about 4 months. It’s now at the OYO hotel which is back the way we came and about 1 km from our hotel. And it starts at 9pm instead of 8pm.

After all that the show was really good, went for about an hour and was very entertaining.

Tomorrow the gondola ride at the Venetian.
