Day 1 Orlando via Denver. Up early this morning as our transfer is picking us up at 7am to get us to the airport. Easy ride to the airport.

Head off to the check-in counter only to find I don’t have our documents folder, including our passports and Janine’s winnings. Panic sets in. Losing the cash was one thing but losing our passports was going to be a big problem. Catch an Uber back to the hotel and explained to the reception my problem, issued with an access key and there it was still on the bench. Uber back to the airport. Fortunately it’s only 10-20 mins to the airport and our flight leaves at 9:45am. Still time for breakfast and a coffee.

An hour and a half to Denver over the Rockies. More spectacular scenery. Denver airport must be one of the largest airports I’ve been to. I thinks it’s bigger than Heathrow. One and a half hours to our flight to Orlando, but by the time we taxied to our gate, disembarked and walked the length of the terminal they were boarding our flight.

Four and a half hours to Orlando over the prairies that seem to go forever, and the Mississippi and we land in Orlando. It’s been a long day. Transfer to the hotel. Check-in, have some dinner and bed.
